The San Gabriel Valley's premier open streets event: 626 Golden Streets - Streets and Treats, presented by Metro Los Angeles, arrives this Halloween with the first holiday-themed ciclovia! The event will feature 4 miles of car-free streets for attendees to skate, bike, walk or scoot connecting the South El Monte Civic Center, the annual Dia de los Muertos festival on Main Street and the Children's Day Parade in El Monte, and ActiveSGV's home at the Jeff Seymour Center. This FREE family-friendly event will also include three activity hubs along the route with trick-or-treating booths, live music, cultural performances, e-bike demos, local vendors, pop-up protected bikeways, family-friendly games, costume contests, and more!
This event is FREE to the general public. Attendees can start and stop at any point along the route, at any time from 9am to 4pm. Participants are encouraged to enjoy the day by foot, bike, skate, scooter or any other type of human-powered vehicle!
