"Building Bridges, Connecting Neighbors", a free virtual happy hour panel discussion with the designers and engineers of the new Taylor Yard Pedestrian Bridge.
Get the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How as writer, editor and investigative journalist Rex Weiner moderates the discussion and gets the "411" on the new bridge dubbed "Rumblefish," which spans 400 feet, connecting Frogtown to Taylor Yard, a forty-two acre industrial parcel and former rail yard site at the center of the Los Angeles River revitalization plans.
This will be a fun and informal, informative discussion on the inspiration, design and construction of the bridge - touching on the background and rich cultural history of this part of the Los Angeles River.
Our panelists are:
Zoltan E. Pali, FAIA - Founder and Design Principal of SPF Architects
Siddhartha Majumdar, AIA - Senior Associate - SPF Architects
Deborah Weintraub, AIA - Chief Deputy City Engineer, Bureau of Engineering
Shirley Lau, Principal Civil Engineer - Bureau of Engineering - Bridge Improvement Division
And...it wouldn't be Happy Hour without cocktails...our sponsor Hera The Dog Vodka have created a signature drink to toast the event. We'll send you the drink recipe (cocktail & mocktail) and the Zoom meeting link shortly after you RSVP.
