Alzheimer’s Los Angeles is set to host their annual walk4ALZ on Sunday October 20 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The walk begins at 10:00am and is fun for the entire family (your pup is welcome to join this year too!). The 1-mile walk, open to all ages and abilities, hopes to raise awareness, much needed funds and community strength for those in Los Angeles facing Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Alzheimer’s Los Angeles is the only local charity that has been serving families in Los Angeles dealing with Alzheimer’s diagnoses and other forms of dementia for almost 40 years. Much of the funds raised go to providing free resources, support groups and care counseling for caregivers helping a loved one.
Whether you want to form a new team with your friends, co-workers or join one already established, visit the walk4ALZ website and register today!
At the end of the walk4Alz, there is a celebration with entertainment, booths and fun activities which are free to all.
NOTE: It is always a good idea to verify date, time, location and other information prior to going.
