Artes Vocales Chorale presents a festive celebration of Halloween with music to send shivers up your spine. It will be held in the enormous vaulted Sanctuary of this soaring Gothic cathedral.
The program will include excerpts from Carmina Burana, the Duruflé Requiem, the Schnittke Requiem, the Witches Chorus from Verdi’s Macbeth, the Ballad of Sweeney Todd, and more. There will be guest performances by the Young Men's Ensemble of Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, percussion ensemble, and organist Scott Van Ornum on the Great Organ at First Church (perhaps the largest musical instrument existing in any church in the world today). The concert will be conducted by Artistic Director, Dr. Steven Kronauer.
Parking is free.
Tickets are $25 at the door
