The Sepulveda Wildlife Area, located off of Woodley Ave. and Burbank Blvd. may be the best place in Los Angeles for bird watching especially October - March.
The first Sunday of each month, the Audubon Society has a guided walk 8:30am - 11:30. There is also a beginner - family walk on the second Saturday October through March 8:30am - 11am. Check here for latest info and map

Access to the wildlife area as well as the trails through it are wheelchair friendly. No bikes, pets or feeding of the wildlife are allowed in this area.
