THIS WEEKEND: Sunday is the annual L.A. Marathon. Whether you plan to go or not here is a link to the Spectator Guide which has information about community celebrations, the course maps and street closures. This year the race starts at Dodger Stadium and finishes in Santa Monica. There are around 25,000 participants plus family and friends, making this a large event before spectators are even added. There are several community block parties along the route. If you want to go, your best bet might be the one in Hollywood (near Hollywood & Highland) because you can get there via the Metro Red Line.
