Hollywood

What's Doing?
Hollywood and Highland is a new shopping and entertainment complex that is the cornerstone of the Hollywood renewal project. This is the home of the Kodak Theater - the new Oscar night venue - and numerous shops and restaurants. There is also a good view of the Hollywood sign from here. The subway station is located just below the complex. Just next door is the Mann's Chinese Theater with its courtyard filled with hand and shoe prints of the stars. Across the street is the newly renovated Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Famous Theaters nearby: Pantages, Chinese, Egyptian

What's Cooking?
Musso & Franks - classic Hollywood bar & grill.
The Pig & Whistle - another classic bar/eatery.
The Hollywood and Highland complex has many restaurants.
Hollywood & Vine - new restaurant at that corner next to Pantages Theatre. Good food, friendly service.

What's Nearby?
The Hollywood Bowl - this is a must in the summer season. Definitely pick up a picnic and catch a concert there if you can - outdoor concert fun regardless of the program or the location of your seats.
The LA Metro Red Line - whisks you quickly to Downtown Los Angeles on one end and Universal City and NoHo on the other.
West Hollywood - The Sunset Strip - the clubs, the restaurants the nite life. Gay LA along Santa Monica Blvd. Interesting shopping and a funky street scene can be found on Melrose Ave.
The Original Farmer's Market - is southwest of Hollywood at 3rd and Fairfax. The Grove is next door. Down a block on Wilshire is museum row: the LA County Musuem of Art, La Brea Tar Pits and the Petersen Automotive Museum.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Step on the stars, find your favorites.
